RQ and drumming stalwart Fred Limbert team up to strip their respective crafts back to their core elements in pursuit of a distilled ambient experience befitting the harsh terrain it originated.

With RQ working from a limited palette of locally documented, personal field recordings and a singular flute sample, and Fred drawing upon his decades of experience as a go-to percussionist in the New Zealand music scene, the two combine in a swirl of cymbals, stones, snares, and water.

Including aspects of Drone, Jazz and Ambient, Of This Earth pulls apart the threads of its primary foundations to weave together something more primitive, something that pulsates and distorts along its spine while its edges sizzle and twist in the wind.
